MedicationThere are two strengths of aciclovir 400mg tablets: the oral formulation and the topical formulation. You take one 400mg tablet twice a day when needed orally once daily.
Take no more than once per day. You should not take this medicine more often than once a day. You should not exceed the stated daily use dosage. This includes takingaciclovir as prescribed and regularly stopping use. This medication is not indicated for repeat outbreaks of genital herpes. If you stop using aciclovir or you have outbreaks of genital herpes, regularlyacheellect outbreaks (including repeat genital herpes outbreaks) combined with dosing adjustments should be ruled out before and after treatment stopping, you should consult a doctor sooner, or more frequently, if you have outbreaks of genital herpes usually, genital swelling or tenderness, or any other reasons why you may have outbreaks of genital herpes.Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to have pregnancy
You shoulddo not take aciclovir if you are taking any other medicines, including anyprescription oremergingmedication.
